§1 Subject matter of the contract
As a patient at this practice, you are receiving naturopathic treatment, including the necessary diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. You have been informed that this therapy does not replace a physical examination or treatment by a physician. You are advised to consult a physician if you exhibit symptoms that may be contraindicated (see §7: Specific risks of the manipulation technique). It is the patient's responsibility to provide X-rays or comparable diagnostic imaging (MRI, CT) and/or laboratory reports if these would be of value for the differential diagnosis regarding the treatment.
§2 Fee, duration of treatment
Patients paying out-of-pocket are charged a rate of 110€–120€ per treatment session (typically 45 minutes) by
Heilpraktiker Hendrik Fisahn. Treatments scheduled for half an hour are charged at 60€. Invoices are payable immediately upon receipt, without deduction. Each treatment is billed individually. Payment via debit card (EC card) is preferred. Should the patient require an itemized list of services — for example, for billing a private health insurer or a government aid scheme (PKV/Beihilfe) — billing is based on the "Gebührenordnung für Heilpraktiker" (GebüH). Costs calculated in this manner are generally higher than the standard out-of-pocket rate.
§3 Reimbursement of costs by funding agencies
The patient is responsible for initiating the reimbursement process with a potential private or statutory payer and for informing themselves about the necessary approval procedures. Any non-reimbursement or only partial reimbursement by a payer (private or statutory health insurance funds) must be borne by the patient.
§4 Data Protection
I take the protection of your personal data very seriously. Consequently, I have implemented various measures to comply with applicable data protection laws in Germany (BDSG-neu) and the EU (EU-DSGVO). When you schedule an appointment with me, personal data is stored on the servers of my IT service providers: Shore / eTermin (for appointment booking) and Lemniscus (for digital patient records). I have entered into data processing agreements with these service providers; these agreements guarantee the security and processing of your data exclusively for the purposes of managing appointments and maintaining patient records for my practice. By scheduling an appointment with me, you automatically consent — pursuant to Article 7 of the GDPR — to the storage of your personal data on the external systems of Shore / eTermin and Lemniscus. Your personal data will be automatically deleted in accordance with the standard retention periods established by Shore / eTermin and Lemniscus.
Please note that my practice aims to avoid sending letters by mail whenever possible. By providing an email address, you consent to receiving relevant correspondence (such as consultation reports) electronically — that is, via email. To ensure data security, we employ specific encryption methods for electronic communications in compliance with applicable data protection regulations. If you do not provide an email address — either because you do not have one or because you do not wish to receive electronic correspondence from me — I will use standard postal mail. Please understand that, for data protection reasons, I am often required to send mail via registered delivery requiring a signature upon receipt, and I will pass the associated costs on to you.
You can find more detailed information at Privacy Policy.
§5 Cancellation fee
In the event of missed, pre-arranged treatment appointments, the patient owes naturopath and osteopath Hendrik Fisahn a cancellation fee amounting to 100% of the agreed fee (see §2). This payment obligation is waived if the patient cancels one working day (24 hours) prior to the scheduled appointment (appointments on a Monday must be cancelled by 4:00 p.m. on the preceding Friday) or is prevented from attending through no fault of their own — for example, due to illness or an accident (though this must be substantiated by a medical certificate). I have set up appointment reminder systems for your convenience.
§6 Duty of confidentiality
I am bound by professional confidentiality. In the event that information is to be disclosed to funding agencies, family members, or physicians, I must be released from this obligation of confidentiality by the patient in writing.
§7 Specific risks of the manipulation technique („Chiropraktik“)
In the cases mentioned (so-called contraindications), the risks of injury may outweigh the benefits of successful manipulation; consequently, the therapist will decide against using the manipulation technique. I am required by law to inform you of very rare but possible complications. These include:
§8 Contract termination
The concluded treatment contract may be terminated in writing at any time, without the need to provide a reason, subject to 24 hours' notice (please submit emails as PDF attachments). Please note that this provision applies only if you have actually scheduled an appointment with our practice. If you have not scheduled an appointment with us, the contract remains in a state of suspension, without imposing any obligations upon you.
